Have you ever heard someone say this? “It’s a win-win situation. I can’t lose!” I was thinking about this statement a while ago, but it was written on my mental notepad a little differently.

It’s a WHEN-WIN situation.

It sounds the same as win-win, but it isn’t the same at all.

We all want to win. No one wants to lose. However, when it comes to our spiritual life, we are all given the opportunity to win or lose, fail or succeed, overcome or succumb by our decisions and choices, words we speak, and actions every day.

II Chronicles 7:14 states,

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

If we don’t humble ourselves, if we don’t pray, if we don’t seek His face, if we keep doing things that displease Him, then He can’t hear or forgive us, and we will live in a land plagued by spiritual disease, sickness, and drought. We will lose.

But if and WHEN we humble ourselves, pray, seek his face, and live righteously before Him, His Word says He will hear, forgive, and heal us. We win!

It is wonderful knowing that His Word tells us: If you do this, I will do that! No matter what we are going through or the challenges we face daily.

When we pray, obey His voice and Word, and seek to live righteously and holy before Him, we are in a when-win situation!
