Matthew 10:28 MSG

“Don’t be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.”

We live in a time of great fear. It seems like every few minutes, there’s a new person or source peddling fear to the desperate and confused. Here is what I have learned about fear, it consumes and ravages its dwelling place. If we allow fear to settle and have space in our hearts and minds, it will eventually devour any semblance of peace we have.

We must hold the line in the war for our peace, and we must not cave into the threats of the enemy. He is the father of lies, and cannot tell the truth. He uses trickery and his cunning craftiness to fool you into believing something false. He bluffs his way through the conversation, using lies to assuage the reality of his true motives.

Here’s the thing though, if we hold our ground and remain in constant contact with God, there is nothing he can do to our souls. He has no power when it comes to our very core being. Save your fear for God (your awe, reverence, and sense of wonder) for He is the one who holds our entire lives in His hands. Only God has the power to keep you and protect you in times of trouble, and we are living in troubled times.

I know it can all be so overwhelming precious woman of God, but hold fast to that beautiful name of Jesus. Declare it over your mind, pray it over your family, and shout it from the mountains for your city.

Peace is waiting for you today, you must only mention His name, Jesus.
