Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (Philippians 4:11-12, NKJV)

Learning to be content in all seasons and in every state that you are in a key component to living a peaceful and purposeful life in Christ.  While I do believe we can become too content to move forward, we do need to be happy with where we are at. Life is not nearly as fulfilling when you are always thinking about tomorrow and not taking time to appreciate what you have today.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the many blessings in my life.  Let me be content in all things! In Jesus name, Amen.
