Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. (Joel 2:12-13, KJV)
As I was reading the book of Joel this morning, I stopped to think about what is happening in our world today. One part of me is quick to brush it off because I know that there is little I can do to fix it. Another part of me wants to run around preaching the return of Jesus Christ because I know He must be coming soon. We can’t spend our time worrying because we will make ourselves sick. But, we can pray, repent and tell people about Jesus!
Prayer: I set my heart on you today, God. I pray for your conviction to settle in my spirit. I want to be ready for your coming. In Jesus name, Amen.
