“God wills that men should pray everywhere, but the place of His glory is in the solitudes, where He hides us in the cleft of the rock, and talks with man face to face as a man talks with his friend.”
The LORD is your protector, and he won’t go to sleep or let you stumble. The protector of Israel doesn’t doze or ever get drowsy” (Psalm 121:3-4 in the Contemporary English Version of the Holy Bible). There is so much injustice in our world today. But, God is aware of every violent crime. He knows about the illness that has taken a loved one away. He knows all about pain and suffering. He sees it all. God has not abdicated His throne and He has not abandoned His plan to one day set all things right.
Prayer: Lord, You know the difficult situations I face. You see; You hear; and I have this assurance that nothing escapes Your attention. Thank You for watching over me! Amen.

“The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming…
“The principle exercise which the children of God have is to pray. For in this way they give true proof of their faith.” -John Calvin
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1 Peter 1:7). Who wants to go through trials? It hurts when the fire…
“Our Savior’s call to prayer is simply a clarion call to holiness. “Be ye holy!” for without holiness no man can see God, and prayer cannot be efficacious.” -The Kneeling Christian
“They went to him and said, Teacher, we know that you are honest. You treat everyone with the same respect, no matter who they are. And you teach the truth about what God wants people to do…” (Mark 12:14 in the Contemporary English Version of the Holy Bible). It is said that integrity is when you spend as much time on the backyard as you do on the front. Jesus Christ taught by example that we too must live each day speaking the truth and acting with integrity.
Prayer: Lord, Your words are true and You keep all of Your promises. I can rely on Your Word – on Your integrity. Help me to fulfill my obligations and responsibilities with integrity. And, may I always speak the truth in love. Amen.
“As well could you expect a plant to grow without air and water as to expect your heart to grow without prayer and faith.” – Anonymous
