“O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.” Psalm 108:1

There are times when we have placed our confidence in other people, and have been disappointed. We shared something personal with them and they failed to keep our secret and spread it around to others. It is hard to trust them again.

Thankfully, we can go to the Lord Jesus and share our innermost thoughts and dreams. He never betrays a confidence and we can safely trust in Him. No matter what we are going through, He listens to our prayers and will give us guidance and direction. It is so comforting to be able to talk to Him about our fears, our struggles, and our deepest feelings.

The New Living Translation puts it this way: “My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!” The Psalmist knew that the Lord was always there for Him and would never change, therefore he was able to sing praises at all times.

Prayer: Jesus, our confidence is in you, and we praise you for your guidance and direction every step of the way.
