Because the Lord had closed Hannah’s womb, her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her. This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the Lord, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat. (1 Samuel 1:6-7, KJV)

Imagine wanting something so bad that without it you could never be fully content.  Striving to be content is difficult and there are days when you will find yourself longing for things that seem forever away. To cry year after year for God to provide you with your deepest desire would be so painful and yet Hannah never gave up hope. She continued to pray and didn’t stop until God gave her what she had desired for so long.

God doesn’t want to keep you from the things that you desire. You need to remember that everything happens in his time and not yours. Trust in his plan, pray, and believe that whatever he has in store for you is far greater than what you could ever imagine.

Prayer: Lord, we’re trusting in the plans that you have for our lives. We are believing in the promises that you have given to us. In Jesus name, amen.
