“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

When I woke up this morning, I heard birds singing.  I am sure that they were singing praise to their Creator, who had given them wings to fly, and provided the seeds and berries that they needed for their food today.

I raised my blinds and looked at the beautiful blue sky, with just a few fluffy clouds here and there.  I opened my window and felt the cool breeze, such a relief after several very warm days.I admired the flowers in their pots on my balcony and thanked the Lord for all the beautiful things He has created for us to enjoy.

I had fresh fruit for my breakfast, thankful for the way the Lord has provided such a variety for us to enjoy. I thanked Him for food in my refrigerator and my pantry and for the way He has always supplied my every need.

I watched a video on my computer and listened to an inspiring message from God’s Word.  I opened my Bible and read inspiring words that were written many years ago but are still pertinent to our situation today. I spent some time in prayer, asking the Lord to guide me through the day and to be with my family and others on my prayer list.

Jeremiah said we would find God if we sought Him with all our hearts.  He is everywhere.  We hear Him in the sounds around us in nature, we see Him in the scenery that surrounds us, we feel Him in the gentle breezes or in the stormy winds.  His presence surrounds us if only we will open our eyes and our ears and search for Him.

Where have you seen and felt the presence of the Lord today? Have you taken time to thank Him for all the blessings He has given you?

Prayer:  Thank you Lord Jesus for this day and for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us.  Help me to search for you with all my heart today and find the treasures that you have for me.
