Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. (Genesis 37:3-4, NKJV)
Joseph’s brothers didn’t like that Joseph was so special in his father’s eyes. They didn’t encourage him, rather, they hated him for how he was treated by his father. They mocked him and ridiculed him for his dreams. Even so, Joseph carried on and didn’t let them stop him from sharing what he felt God wanted for him.
People will not always understand the call God has on your life. Even peers may find themselves questioning what you know God has called you to do. Put your trust in Him and know that if he has a call on your life, it will come to pass if you allow it. When it seems impossible, know that He would never place a call on your life that you do not have the ability to perform.
Prayer: Lord, I pray for boldness today. Help us to trust in the call you have placed on our lives. In Jesus name, amen.
