You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set. (Psalm 104:19, Complete Jewish Bible)

Sunrise peeks through darkness to begin a new day. Sunset spreads a reddish glow across the horizon and disappears making way for nightfall. People relish these daily events, snap photos, and talk about the experiences as though these events are the guardians of time. Seldom does anyone describe moonrise or moonset as glorious or inspirational, yet ocean tides, seasons, and calendars are governed by the moon.

The next time you see the moonrise, it is a sign of a new day. Don’t fret over the past. Look forward to tomorrow.

Prayer: Lord, I look forward to a brighter future in You. Amen.
