Proverbs 16:4

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps”

I’m not the type of person that likes to have plans set in stone, nor am I completely a free spirit. I’m somewhere right in the middle of let me know where to be and when, and let’s take it as it comes. It’s an entirely different story when it comes to God’s will for my life though. I panic when I can’t see what He is doing in my life, and I struggle to give Him full control.

I try and take matters into my own hands, more often than I care to admit. This verse lets me know though that try as I may to control my life, He ultimately makes the decisions. This may sound scary to some people, but at the end of the day it gives me sweet assurance that God is directing my life and cares so much for me.

His will is perfect for me and and His plan is flawless. Everywhere He leads me I know I am safe because He is with me. I never have to worry or fear as long as I am exactly where He desires me to be. I am safer in dangerous territory in His will, than in the comfort of my home outside of His will.

Prayer: I am so thankful today Lord that your plan for me is divine and was set in place before I took my first breath. I know you are always for me, and I will never be alone. Lead me and guide me today as I follow Your voice.
