“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6 Every meaningful relationship grows deeper through honesty and through sharing not only victories and dreams, but also pain, questions, and the parts we often try to hide. There is a unique closeness that forms when we allow ourselves to be fully seen. God desires that same kind of truth from us. He already knows every detail of our lives, yet He invites us to come close and express what is in our hearts—our sorrow, our confusion, our hopes,…

When I sit down to read my Bible, I am not simply spending a dutiful fifteen minutes. Instead, I am on a treasure hunt. With a pencil or highlighter in hand, I read with anticipation, waiting for something to speak to my spirit. Underlining or highlighting those words makes the experience more personal and helps etch them in my heart. This small action trains me to expect discovery—to uncover the nuggets of truth that the Word of God is so rich with. Adding more and more tasks to our already busy schedules will weigh us down and will affect every part of our lives; a lot of times in a negative way. North Americans are, on average, over-spent with their time, resources, and commitments. Trying to do everything by yourself is exhausting. His father-in-law, Jethro, watched Moses judge all of the people of…

“And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.” (Joshua 4:20–22, KJV.) Joshua’s act of setting up twelve stones was more than a historical marker—it was a spiritual declaration. These stones told the story of God’s power and provision. They were a lasting reminder that Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground only…
