Psalms 46:10 KJV “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” I believe everyone has their favorite chair. You know, the one that draws you, inviting you to sink down into it and enjoy it’s comforts? I have chair like that. In fact, my two year old daughter recently brought a book over to me as soon as I plopped myself down into my favorite chair, knowing that I would spend the next few moments reading. In studying the above scripture, I discovered that the word…
Leviticus 19:14 MSG “Don’t curse the deaf; don’t put a stumbling block in front of the blind; fear your God. I am God.” I’m going to be completely honest, I had to get a little help with the spelling of the word “conscientious.” While I’m sure I’m absolutely not pronouncing it…
Leviticus 22:31 MSG “Do what I tell you; live what I tell you. I am God.” I’ve always considered myself to be a great listener, but I now realize that I was merely hearing what was being said, and not sincerely listening. There is a profound difference between the two, one is habit,…

“So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,” (Ephesians 2:19, Christian Standard Bible). Shortly after I graduated from college, I packed my bags and moved to a foreign country where I lived for the next three years. As you can imagine, it was quite an experience—new culture, new language, unfamiliar foods, different climate —different almost everything. Suddenly, I was the foreigner, with so much to learn as I tried to adapt to all the differences. I never did apply for citizenship; and when I left the country, my…
“Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God;” I Samuel 25:29 David was on his way to punish Nabal, because he had refused to provide food for David and his followers. When Nabal’s wife heard what had happened she hastily prepared supplies and went to meet David. She pleaded with him not to be hasty and do something he would regret later. She recognized that David was the one the Lord had chosen as king and…
“In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.” Psalm 71:1 As I was reading this Psalm in my Daily Devotions a few weeks ago, I realized that there were a lot of good verses that could be used as prayers, so let’s just look at a few of them. I am using the New Living Version of the Scriptures. Verse 2: “Save me and rescue me, for you do what is right.” We can always trust God to know what is best for us and to rescue us when we start to…
And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16, Holy Bible, New King James).
Jesus instructed a small group of disciples to spread the Gospel to the entire world. They accomplished the task without a personal trainer or a “how-to” travel workshop. Jesus and his disciples walked to Samaria. Phillip caught a ride in a nonbeliever’s chariot. Apostle Paul journeyed by ship.
Since that commandment, missionaries have traveled by every conceivable mode of transportation from jets to snow skis. Today, I share the Gospel via computer. It’s your opportunity—your responsibility—to be God’s messenger and pass it on.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, bless each one who receives Your Gospel and passes it on to others. Amen.
