“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3, KJV.

Do you know those nights? The kind of night when tears hit your pillow as life overwhelms you or the nights you toss back and forth. Sometimes, we miss the nudge from God and think that all we need to sleep well is a comfortable position, but what we need is His peace.

Perfect peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances, a robust savings account, or a world void of coronavirus (but, all those things would be nice). Perfect peace is supernatural and flows from the throne room of God. When your life is being shaken, when your faith is tested, when you are grieving, there is hope.

Just recently someone said to me, “life is so uncertain.” Yes, that can be true, I responded. However, with all the uncertainties of this world we serve a God who changes not (Malachi 3:6) and who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

There is perfect peace that can pass your comprehension (Phil. 4:7) and every fear and stress has to submit to the authority of God. Seek Gods perfect peace today and know that His promises are forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).

Prayer: God, I’m so thankful I’m not alone during this lonely time of my life. Help me to trust you during the unrest of the world. Speak peace to my spirit. I cannot live in a state of worry, please help me speak life. Prove to me today that you are the peacemaker and help me keep my mind on You!
