“Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.” Luke 18:5

What is persistence? According to the dictionary it is the firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action despite difficulty or opposition.

There are many instances in the Bible where someone was persistent to achieve their goal. We read in Luke 18:1-5 when Jesus tells the story of a woman who continually went to a judge asking to be vindicated. It was because of her persistence that  the judge finally vindicated her.

When we kneel to pray for a situation, we need to be persistent with our prayers until they are answered. Prayers may not be  answered the way we want, but we will get an answer.

No matter the situation, whether it be for a healing; financial miracle; lost loved ones saved; employment; marriage restored; and the list goes on – we know we can bring them to God in prayer and He will answer! Don’t be discouraged. You could be just one more prayer away from receiving your answer!

Just like another woman in the Bible with a health issue in her blood, she tried everything she could to be healed. One day, all it took was reaching out and touching the hem of Jesus’ garment and she was made whole. She pressed through the crowd to get to Jesus and her healing. Her persistence paid off!

Keep praying for a miracle and never give up until you get the answer!

Prayer:  Thank you, God for hearing and answering our prayers! We ask that You continue working in our lives and our situations. We give You all the praise and glory for everything You have done, are doing, and will do in our lives. We trust you in every situation. Amen!
