“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” (Proverbs 15:13 from the King James Version of the Holy Bible)

Have you ever been in an incurable bad mood? Next time this happens, even if you are alone, put on the biggest smile that you possibly can. It is amazing how smiling alone can make us feel a million times better. I read an interesting article recently that suggested the muscles we use when we smile trigger something in our brains and makes us happier. Makes sense to me!

Our facial expressions show others around us how we feel on the inside. If we walk around with a frown on our face, people will not be able to see the joy that we feel (or should feel) on the inside! Today as you are going through your daily routine, try doing it with a smile on your face. You may think that you look a bit “Disney”, but you will feel like a million bucks!

Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for the unspeakable joy that we have in You. Nothing can ever be too daunting of a task knowing that You are right by my side. Living for You is the best life I could ever ask for!
