“This vision is for a future time.

It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.

If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently,

for it will surely take place.

    It will not be delayed.”

Habakkuk 2:3

When I read this scripture I automatically thought “isn’t that so like the Lord?” He sees the end from beginning and knows all things. He always provides what we need, sometimes long before we need it!

He places little blessings and words into our lives and we may not understand them at the time, but they always have a purpose!

He is not slack concerning His promises and is always working on your behalf! Even if it seems impossible or like it will never come to pass – it will! His word never returns void, He does all things well!

Look for the God in the small things today and trust that He is working it all out for your good!

I’m thankful that You are faithful God, and always for me and with me. Help me to hear Your voice even when it’s still and small, and help my faith to grow as you work all things out for my good.

“He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.”

Psalms 40:3

There are many reasons why God chooses to answer or to wait when we bring a need to Him. I have learned a few over the years, and when I say a few I mean a few. Gods ways are higher than ours and we will never be truly able to understand why He does what He does, when He does.

He is protecting us. Oftentimes we want our answers now, but God sees the full picture… and we don’t. He knows the outcome before we even face the problem. He also knows what tomorrow holds, and if He is keeping you from something – be thankful instead of frustrated.

It isn’t perfect yet. When me and my husband struggled with multiple miscarriages the one thing I told myself over and over again was “it just isn’t perfect yet” We too quickly settle for what’s good instead of what’s best. If you are in a season of waiting, be patient knowing that it just isn’t perfect yet – and He is working it out.

He wants the glory. He is a great and a Mighty God, and He wants credit where credit is due! There are going to be some situations where you will have exhausted every human resource possible – and that’s when He does His best work.

And lastly, so others may see what He has done. There is power in your testimony, and no one on earth can dispute what God has done for you. Financial miracle, changed medical diagnosis, loved one saved, babies when you were told you couldn’t conceive.. the list is endless. He alone can do it all, and that speaks to people.

Because of what your going through right now, people will come to know Jesus and trust Him. There is a purpose for your pain and struggle. Someday it will speak to someone, and draw them closer to God.

Jesus, I am thankful that You can use even the darkest of situations to bring light into someone’s life. Guide me to those today who need You and who are searching for truth.

“God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 MSG

I’m a simple kind of girl. A plain Jane if you will. So when I read scripture like this, in this translation – I really get it. This is as simple as it gets folks.

God is walking ahead of you. That unknown territory that you are fearfully tiptoeing through right now – He’s already been there. He knows exactly where You are, and what you are feeling and facing. If God is walking before me, I can confidently take another step!

He won’t let you down. Whew. Breathe a sigh of relief. Even though it seems like plans fall apart and dreams fade and change, He is working it all out for your good. Even when life hurts, and your wounded – He still won’t let you down. He’s got this.

He won’t leave you. Psalms 27:10 says “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close”

No matter who walks out of your life, God will NEVER leave you. He loves you, and He enjoys spending time with you. He thinks you are absolutely fantastic!

Don’t be intimidated. If you are staring your own personal Goliath in the face right now – you can stand strong with boldness and confidence in Your God. We don’t have to cower in fear, but rather proclaim the name of Jesus! We have God on our side, who or what can stand against us?

And finally, don’t worry. Any ladies out there like me that worry… constantly? I know most of you just nodded your head. It’s what we do, and we usually do it too well. But God is telling us we don’t have to. I can face today and tomorrow knowing that He holds me in the palm of His hand.

God, I am so thankful that You are always with me. Thank you for Your word that reminds me that You are always with me, and that You love me. If I stray from those promises today, nudge me back into Your word once again.
