April 22 is officially Earth Day/Arbor Day. It also happens to be “Trails Day” in my small town. So, what a perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy a long hike, one of my favorite things. I got up, prepared what I felt I needed for an hour or two,…
We are all at different stages in our walk with God. We are at different levels of maturity regarding our understanding of God’s Word and His purpose for our lives. Some have made a greater commitment to allow God to use them to further His kingdom. We are running this race together,…

- “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us,” (Hebrews 12:1, Holy Bible, New Living Translation).
- Running a race isn’t easy. Ask anyone who has participated in a marathon. New runners capture the spirit of the race first. They train. They run. They hear the roar of crowd as they pass each marker. Christians run individual marathons, following the path of witnesses, trailblazers, who have lived the life of faith and won the race.
