“Use both hands!” As a child, I heard this many times, getting on my bicycle and preparing to ride off with friends down the sidewalk in front of my house. One was thought to be ALL THAT if they could navigate their bicycle using just one hand on the handlebars…
What is God calling you to do? What is holding you back from accepting the call and stepping out in faith into God’s purpose for you? It could be preaching to thousands behind a pulpit or quietly sharing your testimony with an acquaintance over a cup of coffee. It could…
“She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.” Prov. 31:13-15 The NLT version reads like…
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. (Isaiah 41:12, KJV) Every day I am surrounded by 20 four year old’s who often use the phrase, “But Miss Melinda, I can’t…” and it drives me crazy. In most recent…
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10
Every one of us has been gifted and equipped by God in a particular way. God doesn’t give us talents just to please ourselves, but to be a blessing to others.
He expects us to be good stewards of the gifts He has placed in us. They start as a seed that we have to nurture through learning and practice. In full bloom, our talents are amazing and effective.
What talents has God given you? How have you developed them over the years? Are you using them to minister to others?
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gifts You have put in me. Help me to use them to be a blessing, and help me to develop and hone them so I can be effective in Your kingdom.
