retina_scan“For we walk by faith, not by sight:”  (2 Corinthians 5:7 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).

I am a visual person.  If I can see it, I won’t forget it.  God knew that I needed to understand this scripture better so He sent Ron to clear up the matter.

Ron is a blind man who comes to church on Sunday morning.  I was teaching the class Sunday morning and used this scripture.  As I looked across the congregation and saw him, the scripture became very clear to me.

Walking is not a problem for Ron if someone guides him. His eyes just don’t work.  He lives alone and knows how many steps to take from his bedroom to the bathroom.  He calculates the distance by the number of steps.  When he gets out of the car, he knows how many steps to take to his door.

Putting our trust in the one who is leading us is the key when we are on the faith walk.

Prayer:  Thank You, Lord, for guiding my steps.  I depend on Your guidance. Often the way is not clear to me but I can place my trust and confidence in You!
