“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says (Mark 11:23 NKJV).
Does NOT doubt…BUT believes. This scripture is actually an explanation of the one preceding it, “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God’.” Apparently He chose to clarify for them exactly what that meant!
Jesus encouraged them to have HIM-POSSIBLE faith! He demonstrated the potential power that comes from NOT doubting, but in believing. Even though it would be their words, quantifying what they wished to happen, it was their faith — unleashed and uninhibited— that would determine the outcome.
We have SO many things vying for our attention right now: political uncertainties, unrest among the unruly, natural disasters occurring daily, unknown and seemingly uncontrollable diseases and afflictions, and unstable economic systems, to name but a few.
If we allow them to, they will steal all our time and concern, and keep us from depending FULLY on the ONLY One who controls it all anyway. So, let’s lay aside these worries (which do not help us to cope), and let’s turn our mindsets on hope.
Take time to PAUSE for the Him-Possible today! What mountain do you need moved? Where do you want it to go? You speak the words—and Do. Not. Doubt.— and watch what GOD will do! What looked like an unclimbable, impenetrable obstacle will be Him-Possibly removed!
Susan Hohman
Most of us know that Faith is an important component of seeing a miracle performed. But, sometimes, God asks us to step back and wait — PAUSE — for a specific purpose, in order to see our miracle come to fruition. The Pause for the Him-Possible is an innovative approach to a 30-day devotional with a daily call to action. In this book, Susan Hohman gives us pause to consider an avenue of faith and believing that we may not have considered before.
