Psalm 46:10 gives us the secret to learning. “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (King James Version of the Holy Bible)
In simple language, the Psalmist tells us how to get better acquainted with God; get quiet and listen to the voice of God. By listening instead of talking, He will make Himself known to you. Incidentally, He oversees everything anyway. It’s all about Him!
It’s not as easy as it sounds. In fact, it’s probably one of the hardest things we must do in life. Have you ever tried to quiet an audience so you could start speaking? Difficult is the word for this task.
Prayer: Dear Lord, quiet my spirit. I want to know You better. Help me learn this secret and be quiet. Amen!
