Today

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”  Hebrews 13:8

It is great to think about the things of yesterday, the blessings the Lord poured upon us and the miracles He did.  It is also great to think about the hope He has given us for the future – life in Heaven with Him.

The Psalmist said, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”  While we are praising Him for the victories of the past and looking forward to what He has in store for us in the future, let us not forget to give this day completely to the Lord, to worship Him and praise Him, and to look for opportunities to serve Him.

He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.  We can’t go back and change the past, the future is uncertain, but we do have today.  Let us live it to the fullest.

Prayer:  Lord thank you for today.  Guide my steps and make me a blessing to someone else.
