“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee” (Psalm 56:3 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
David lived in constant fear of King Saul trying to end his life. He did not hesitate to admit to his own emotions of fear. He found the antidote for fear and knew that he could trust in His God. Instead of trying to outsmart his enemy, he choose to trust and that disabled fear.
Understanding that God is really in control of our lives is something we all need to learn so we can avoid paralyzing fear. God alone has the power to deliver us from calamity. We can have confident hope in Him.
Fear is an emotion we can overcome with trust!
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for being with me. Let trust dominate my life. You’re my source of strength and my protector. You are all that I need!
