All of my life I’ve had a desire to be used by God. I knew that as a believer it was the only correct response to being freed from sin. If I love God, I am commissioned to tell others about the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
It took many years for me to completely surrender to this call to discipleship. In fact, it has just been over the past few months that everything I thought mattered in my life was replaced by a desire to only please God and to bring others into His love.
You will experience a blessed life when you allow yourself to be led by the Spirit. Your mind cannot fathom what God will do in and through you. The blessings and abundance that He has in store for those that follow Him are beyond compare.
Surrender yourself as a living sacrifice. Allow God to speak to you and work mightily in you. When you become unconditionally available, you will enter a realm of the supernatural. God will change lives, and mend hearts, and move mountains.
It may seem simple, but it is one of the most powerful concepts in the kingdom of God. Surrender your ordinary life to God and He will bring out the best in you.
Romans 12:1-2 (The Message) says:
…take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.
Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I give everything to You. If you can use anything, you can use me!
