“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Mountains of difficulty ahead

It seems you cannot make it through.

Rocky paths that you must tread.

Storm clouds obscure the view.

Look up! Help is near.

God leads the way.

Have no fear.

Just pray.

Faith.

How easy it is to quote this scripture to a friend or family member who is going through a trial.  We advise them to just pray and trust the Lord and everything is going to work out all right.

But it is a different story when we are facing something that we just can’t seem to see our way through.  We have to keep reminding ourselves that this scripture is true and that the Lord has already planned the path ahead for us to go.  The clouds of doubt and fear may seem to hide the future, but God sees it from a different perspective than we do. We can safely trust that He is guiding us every step of the way. It is in these times that we find out just how much faith we have.

As we begin to look back at the many times that the Lord has met us before, our faith is strengthened, and we can call on Him in confidence that He will meet us once again.  Reading the stories in His Word of how He met people in Bible times, gives us hope that with Him nothing is impossible.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  There is no mountain too high that He cannot take us over.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, we thank you for the mountains you have brought us over in the past, and we praise you for all that you are going to do for us today.
