And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. (Luke 24:2-3)

I am thankful on this Easter Sunday that we serve a risen saviour! He lived as man, was crucified at the cross for crimes he never committed and then rose from the grave. Unfortunately, for so many Easter has turned into a long weekend in April where we get to eat chocolate to our hearts content.

Jesus died for you. He loves each one of us and died so that we could live freely. He fills us with his Spirit and lives inside of those who choose to believe in Him.

Prayer: Thank you for the cross. You died for our sins and we could never repay you. Thank you for loving us even when we continuously fail you. In Jesus name, amen.
