Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours. (Galatians 6:4-6, ERV)
We all do it. Comparing your abilities, strengths, beauty…etc., to others has always been an issue. The world of social media has enhanced this evil monster that we all carry around. Scripture clearly states that we are not to compare ourselves with others. Instead, we need to constantly be looking within ourselves. What we do and how we continuously change should have very little to do with what people are doing around us and a lot to do with what God wants for us. There are some things in your life that you can change, and some that you cannot. If you can change it, go for it! If you can’t change it, embrace it. God makes each one of us special. Don’t look to others for your own gratification.
Prayer: Lord, I pray for those struggling today. Help us to love the person you made us to be and to be satisfied with what we have. I pray that you fill our hearts with gratefulness. In Jesus name, amen.
