And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26, KJV)
God created mankind to have dominion. We were born to be in control, which is why it can be so hard for us to let go of our own will and let God take over. We will never have all the answers and if we continuously try to run our owns lives without seeking His will, it will be a very difficult and exhausting journey. Though we will not always understand God’s will, we have to be confident in it, knowing that only He knows what we truly need.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your control over our lives. I pray that you will lead and guide us on our paths. Fill our hearts with the desire to let you lead and give us peace when we don’t understand the situations we face. In Jesus name, amen.
