“Never” was a favorite word used by my children. They often used it to put a guilt trip on me. “Mom, you never take us…”
The word “never” means not ever; at no time. Not at all; absolutely not; to no extent or degree. Obviously, my kids didn’t know what “never” meant!
Eighty-six times in the Bible the word “never” is used. It is a signficant word in scripture.
Hebrews 13:5 reads: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
It’s a divine adage. What was said in the Bible then extends to us now. God will not withdraw His presence. His help is always available. He will never forsake us! It’s a guarantee given to all who follow Him.
Prayer: Lord, You’ve never failed me and You never will! Whether I’m in the valley or on the mountain, You always stand by me. Regardless of what is going on in my life I can count on You to be with me.
