“I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.” (Psalm 13:6 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)

As I read this chapter, I realized that David was in a place where he found himself full of questions and complaints. He felt forsaken by God. He asked questions that I have asked God. How long? How long? How long? What! Forever?

I’ve been there wondering when relief would come. And, if you are honest, you’ve have too. Finally, David decided to cling to what He knows to be true. He can trust God regardless of what is happening around him. He pulls out the tools that have worked in the past. He begins to rejoice, “I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

Can I tell you from experience this method that David uses will work every time. How do I know? Because I’ve been there and I’ve done exactly that!

Prayer: Lord, I trust Your mercy and will rejoice and sing unto You knowing You are at work in my life. You will give me strength to go through yet another disappointment. Amen!
