“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
God doesn’t miss a gathering where He’s invited.
R.S.V.P.’s are used for planning purposes. They help the party planner know how much food to prepare, how many chairs will be needed, etc. God wants us to know that He will always be there!
This summer I have sent regrets to a couple of weddings due to being out of town. I wanted to be there but couldn’t be in two places at one time. Since God is omnipresent He doesn’t miss a thing. We have the assurance of His presence honoring us when His name is mentioned.
In Matthew 28:20 Jesus assured them again, “Lo, I am with you ALWAYS.” I put the word always in all caps to let you know that He is with you ALWAYS.
Prayer: What a special promise for me to remember that You are with me ALWAYS. You have never disappointed. I can count on Your presence when I call on Your name. Amen!
