While reading the incredible account of Mary’s response to the news of her part in God’s plan of redemption in Luke 1:26-55, I was inspired to write these words of encouragement for a hurting friend today:

“God approves of you! God sees you. Don’t be confused, disturbed or afraid. The Spirit and Power of God will cover you; outweigh the circumstances overwhelming you; and cause you to rise above. Future generations (including your children and your grandchildren) will call you blessed because you BELIEVED GOD. If you will BELIEVE GOD, you will sit on top of and prevail over the plans of the enemy. And just to make sure you know how much you are loved, God has given you a friend in me to share the journey.”

You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said. (Luke 1:45 NLT)

Pray: Lord, like Mary, I will respond to Your Word; to Your promises with humble acceptance and unrestricted trust in Your plan. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I will climb up the tower of worship declaring Your attributes and abilities with every step until my perspective is changed and I am reminded again that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WHEN I AM WITH YOU!
