2 Corinthians 10:5 declares, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Our minds are so powerful, they can allow untruths to take root to where we will begin to believe a lie. We can imagine the craziest things and even talk ourselves out of the blessings of God.

The word of God commands that we need to cast down every imagination. When fear begins to pillage our faith, or when we have succumbed to worry it is important to have an awareness of the power and sovereignty of God.

Speak faith and begin to pray a hedge of protection around your situation or family members. It is amazing what will happen when we get out eyes off of our problem and unto our mighty, problem-solver!

When we exalt our problems, fear, sickness, etc., above the knowledge of God – He commands us to declare His word. We need to plead the blood of Jesus and cast down every high thing that exalts itself against God’s authority.

Your words have power and your prayers can change lives.

What do you need to proclaim in the spirit today? What do you need to cast down?

Prayer: Lord, You know me better than I know myself and I believe that you care about all of the things that make me feel overwhelmed. I cast down fear and proclaim your perfect love.  I command every lie the enemy tries to whisper in my ear to be silenced and I plead the blood of Jesus over my thoughts. In Jesus name.

  1. This is one of the scriptures I speak often.
Many times in prayer especially, my thoughts are like popcorn. Scattered and negative.
I have learned to speak God’s promises ,out loud.
Thank you for this devotional today. I needed the reminder.
    God bless.

    • Yes, it is such a great scripture… I pray this often as well. God’s word is so powerful!!!

      • I feel that God has used these devotionals that you ladies write to speak to me so many times. Today was one of them. Thank you.

        • Praise God, so thankful that God can speak through all of these devotions. I have been ministered to as well and I’m so thankful for this ministry.
