“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8–9.

When Things Don’t Turn Out How You Expect

Have you ever prayed and felt like God was going to give you exactly what you wanted? Yeah. Me too.

I have cried out to God and asked, “Why is this happening to me?” “What are You trying to do?”

I am learning that asking questions can be very different than seeking answers. Asking questions can sometimes, not always, come from a place of desperation but seeking answers can lead us to a deep understanding of why God is doing something in our life. I want the motive of every question I ask God to lead me to understand His plan and purpose in my life. We may not understand everything that happens in our life, but we can gain understanding.

Speak Faith

Maybe you are facing a serious situation in your life and you are not receiving the answers you desire. It can be difficult to put our worries, needs, marriage, children, jobs, etc., in God’s hands because we do not know what He is going to do to bring our answers to pass.

I wish I could see what He sees. There are times when God gives us a glimpse of His plan, but it’s often a little bit at a time. If you’ve cried some tears, that’s okay, we are human and God gave us tear ducts for a reason, to release deep emotions. Take time to pray scriptures out loud and speak faith into your situation and instead of asking why, seek understanding.
