God Takes Care

The Lord works out everything to its proper end—even the wicked for a day of disaster. (Proverbs 16:3, NIV)

A few nights ago, someone broke into my car. Thankfully, although it was all rummaged through and torn apart, nothing was taken. When I came out in the morning and realized what had been done, I felt both angry and sad – angry that someone would do that to another person and yet sad that they could do it guilt free.

When I read through Proverbs 16 this morning, I was reminded that God takes care of things no matter what. Yes, I was frustrated with these thieves but at the end of the day, there was nothing I could do to change the situation. God will always act as my defence, and he will do the same for you. In all situations, cast your cares on him, and he will take care of you.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for coming to our rescue time and again. You are our protector and defence in times of trouble and we are so thankful! In Jesus name, amen.
