“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence. (Job 1:12, NLT)

Job was a blameless man who feared God. If anyone was undeserving of punishment it would have been him, and yet, God allowed Satan to attacked Job by messing with his family, job and so many other things. God knew that even in the face of such sadness, Job would continue to be an example of a good man who did not blame God when bad things happened to him.

Sometimes when we are going through hard times it’s very easy to try to place the blame on someone. God can end up taking the brunt of our frustrations. Job refused to turn away from God even when he was going through the ultimate tribulation. God knows how much we can take. He will not allow his children to go through something they couldn’t handle. We have to remember that through it all, He is teaching us.

Prayer: Give us the strength to make it through the trials that come our way. Help us to grow and to continously learn from you. Amen.
