“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; For the wrath of a man worketh not the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19-20 from the King James Version of the Holy Bible”)

Ever hear the expression, “Think before you speak”?  Just a guess, but I assume its roots are based on this passage of scripture.  How often do we say things and then question whether or not we should have said them? Everything we do and say is representing Jesus Christ. Both our words and our actions are powerful and can bring either glory or dishonor to Him.  I don’t know about you, but I need to constantly remind myself of this.

Prayer: Lord, help me to think before I speak.  Let my words and my actions be glorifying to you. Help me to listen and give me wisdom. In Jesus name, Amen.
