“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for he is faithful that promised;)  (Hebrews 10:23 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)

In the book of Hebrews, the Apostle Paul was writing to saints and admonishing them to keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.  He was reminding them of what had been given them.  Paul encouraged them to be together in worship; to love each other; and to hold tight to the truth that had been given them.

Two words stood out to me this morning as I read this passage – our faith.  Let’s get personal. It can’t be grandma’s faith or grandpa’s faith.  It must be your faith and my faith to hold fast.  It’s got to be something you hold personally, then and only then will the value of it become priceless.

I’ve witnessed many throw truth away and it saddens me.  It seems they have forgotten the great price that was paid for us.  Breaking the law of God’s Word is serious business. Our future inheritance depends on us holding fast to our faith!  It’s a personal thing.

Prayer:  Lord, I don’t want to fail You.  I’m so thankful for the truth. You are the way, the truth and the life!
