vegetables-1014509_1280“Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.”  (Daniel 1:12 in the New King James Version of the Holy Bible)

The book of Daniel is an intriguing story of a young man who lived for God in captivity.  The Babylonians tried everything they could to change him and even changed his name but he remained loyal to his God!

Daniel knew what he was going to do before the king signed the decree.  He had purposed in his heart that he wasn’t going to eat the king’s meat.  He was diplomatic in dealing with the situation.  In essence he said, “Let’s make a deal.”

What a shock when the Hebrew boys looked better than the others.  They came out on top!

Have you purposed some things in your heart already?  Laws are being changed all around us, and it’s time for you to declare that regardless of laws, you will stand for God!

Prayer:  Give me strength to stand for You, Lord, in these closing days of time.   When the pressure seems unbearable, I know my Redeemer lives and You will help us through!  Amen.
