The malls are filled with ideas for the perfect gift. The act of giving blesses the giver.
This year find someone who cannot give back to you. Your heart and spirit will soar as they receive your gift. Block some time to spend with an elderly person or shut-in; you’ll be blessed by doing so.
My neighbors know that every year I will be giving them a banana cake that I personally make for them. Last year one of them came to my door on Christmas Eve with a gift for me. I wasn’t expecting it at all. She said, “You always remember me and I wanted to do something for you.”
That’s what Christmas is all about. Giving to others will bless your life. So be blessed – Give!
Prayer: Lord, thank You for all You have given to me. Thank You for wrapping Yourself in flesh and coming to earth to live and die for us. Amen.
