“In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul” (Psalm 94:19).

I really wish my brain had an off switch, or at least a volume control. My thoughts run wild as soon as I lay down to go to sleep at night and it can be so frustrating knowing you have an early morning the next day. I think a lot of women struggle with this.  We have to-do lists, agendas, calendars and schedules! It sometimes feels as though the tasks will never be accomplished.

This scripture has settled my mind on many nights as I’ve wrestled with what needs to be done the next day. If I’m simply feeling overwhelmed with life and all its chaos, I quote this verse to myself, “In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”

We can rest easy knowing He is the Prince of Peace, and our Comforter. Tomorrow is a new day, with new mercies, and new strength from our Great God. Allow yourself to rest, knowing that God has it all under control and He is faithful.

Prayer:  Lord, help me to learn to rest in You. Help me to shut out all the noise and distractions and learn to pace myself. Tomorrow is a new day and You will be right there with me.
