“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17

I know this promise was given to Israel, but it is also a precious promise to those of us who serve the Lord today.  How wonderful to know that the Lord is always with us, teaching us, and leading us in His way.

The Lord has redeemed us from sin, filled us with His Spirit, and given us something to share with others.  It is God’s responsibility to open the doors for opportunities to tell of His love, but it is our responsibility to prepare our hearts and our minds, so that when those opportunities come we will have the words to speak.  It is important that we study the Word of God, and spend time in prayer and meditation.

Sometimes the enemy would like to tell us that we are not doing much for the kingdom of God, and he would like to see us discouraged.  But God knows our hearts and our desires and if we are diligent, and follow His guidance, He will open doors to witness and we will be ready to step through them.

Prayer:  Jesus, thank you that you have redeemed us.  Help us to look for the open doors and be willing to walk through them.
