“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6
I recently did a survey where the question was: What is the main thing that keeps you sound and grounded every day? What keeps you smiling knowing life is worth it? There were several choices and the results were interesting. A lot of people said it was their friends and family, some said pets, and only a few chose their jobs or career. 26% said it was their relationship with God and spirituality. Of course, that is the option I chose.
In a world that is filled with violence, uncertainty, and suffering, it is such a privilege to know Jesus Christ and that He is with us every moment of every day. No matter what comes in our lives, we can rest assured that He is in control and that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our confidence is in Him. He is the One who keeps us grounded. He is the One who gives us a purpose to live and a hope that goes beyond this life. Our confidence is in Him, and He makes life worth living.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus that you are working in my life, making me what you want me to be. Thank you for the confidence you give every day.
