“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which he shall shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.” (Exodus 14:13 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
Imagine how the Israelites must have felt as they waved goodbye to mean old Pharaoh. I know how I would have felt. They probably did a happy dance too!
Not far down the road they realized they had jumped from the frying pan into the fire. The Red Sea loomed ahead and Pharaoh’s army was behind them. They were between a rock and a hard place. Thank God for real leaders who trust God and listen to His voice. Moses could still see the miraculous cloud following them and it gave him confidence in God alone.
Many times, in my life I have thought the same thing. How could things get worse? They did, but I’m here to tell you that God stepped on the scene and my “Red Sea” parted.
I’m so glad I can trust God in any situation. He knows how to bring us victory whatever we are facing. You can trust Him!
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for being with me through every situation I’ve faced in life. When things looked hopeless, You brought hope! Amen!
