And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Mark 8:22–25 Reacting to God There isn’t a person reading…
Can I be honest? The past year has been a walk by faith journey financially. Just when I think we are getting ahead, we get set back. You may be thinking, “Well, maybe you’re bad with money,” or, “I bet she isn’t paying her tithes.” I’m not going to tell…
And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation. Hebrews 5:9 Because Jesus was perfect and without sin, I oftentimes forget that He did not live a perfect life. There was nothing perfect about His low income home, the betrayal of…

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6 The Lord has impressed upon me this week to write about some of my favourite scriptures and the impact they have had on my life. They do not realize that there is One who is waiting for them to call on Him and let Him bring them peace and joy. I feel like sharing a poem that…
“O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.” Psalm 96:1 Wide open windows this morning, fresh air flowing through the rooms, birds singing in the trees, awakening a feeling of new life. It’s time to sing praises to the Lord. Singing lifts our spirits and brings joy and peace to our hearts. Perhaps this last year has been a hard one for you. Perhaps you have lost a loved one or maybe more. You may be thinking, “what do I have to sing about?” Maybe you or your spouse have lost your job,…

And, to clarify, endure means tolerating or putting up with something, especially something unpleasant. So let’s replay a few typical real-life scenarios for effect: Angrily, to a child: “How many times do I have to tell you? The answer is no!” With disdain to a spouse: “Did you not listen when I said it earlier? Ugh. You don’t pay attention.” Arrogantly, to a co-worker: “This is the fifth time I’ve…
