He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10, NIV)
We all want to hear the voice of God. Whether He speaks to us very boldly and clearly, or in a still small voice, we long to hear what He wants to tell us. One of the biggest problems we face in today’s society is having the ability to drown out the noises that distract us. To be still and quiet for any period of time is practically impossible and requires a great deal of discipline.
Take time to hear God’s voice in your life. Slowly try to eliminate the white noise that continuously drowns out the voice of God. He wants to speak to all of us, but it is our job to open our ears and really listen to what he has to say.
Prayer: Lord, help us to hear your voice in a world full of distractions. Give us the strength we need to find a quiet place to be with you so that you can speak to us. In Jesus name, amen.
