Speak FAITH!

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness is from generation to generation; You have established the earth, and it stands fast.” (Psalm 119:89-90 AMP)

It has been researched that there are over 30,000 promises in God’s Word. However, God’s promises are conditional; they are not automatically applicable to everyone. If we desire and expect to receive His promises (those that apply to us) and walk in His blessings, we must first believe that He IS and then obey His Word.

“(Jesus) said, Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” (Luke 11:28 KJV)

God has obligated Himself to keep every promise He has ever made. He is not, however, under any obligation to keep a promise I make to myself, no matter how noble, honorable or worthy it may seem to be. God’s faithfulness is not evidenced by His obedience to our demands—regardless of how good it makes us feel.

The faithfulness of GOD is revealed by His being true to His own WORD.

That is also a good pattern for us: OUR faith and faithfulness is revealed by our fidelity to the Word of God—through our life and our lips. We give evidence of our faith and hope by SPEAKING faith and hope. By speaking a promise of God into our life, we turn His promise into a prophecy. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:12 KJV)

On the other hand, we must never prophesy negativity into our future. We must never give voice to statements like: “It’ll never happen.”   “I’ll never get over this.”  “Things will never get better.”

The only “never” that is valid here is that we must NEVER speak that kind of pessimism and gloom into our future—a realm which God alone knows, directs, and occupies—and which we really know NOTHING about with certainty. Never, ever allow any present discouragement, doubt, fear, or mullygrubs to cloud the vision of your faith!  Rather …

Allow FAITH gleaned from your yesterdays to SPEAK, through YOUR voice, into your HOPE—your tomorrows—no matter how dark it appears today.

What is the key? KNOW what you believe! Diligently STUDY the Word of God! Make your calling and election SURE! Know that He is “a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)  No one is more adamant about what they believe than someone who’s not sure what they believe. But you can absolutely KNOW Him, inside out, by allowing in “the Holy Ghost … (and) He shall teach you all things …” John 14:26 KJV)

Then GIVE VOICE to what you believe!  Testify of your FAITH, speaking daily to the virtue and power of God, saying: “THIS I KNOW! GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!!” And as each day passes, flowing from your future into your past like waves beside your boat, that continual testimony ADDS to your faith! Builds your faith! Establishes your unshakeable FAITH!

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall LIVE by faith.(Romans 1:17 KJV)

Prayer: Dear Jesus, You hold all my tomorrows. Help me not to prophesy doubt into my future; rather let me speak FAITH by declaring Your FAITHFULNESS! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
