“For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lion and serpents under your feet!”
Psalms 91:11-13
When reading this scripture I sighed a breath of relief. God has ordered his angels to protect me wherever I go! And not only me, I know this applies to my spouse and my children. This should cause us to feel nothing but perfect peace, because no matter what we are faced with – we are surrounded by God and His angels.
I also feel strong when I read this. I can walk through any tragedy or disaster and know I will make it to the other side because God is always with me. I can take back what the enemy has stole, and live a victorious life! Peace, and strength.. two things that I need on a daily basis. As I prepare my daughter for her first year of school this fall, I do not know what she will be faced with. There will be those who hate her only because she is a Christian, and that frightens me. But I read this scripture and know that even though I won’t always be there to protect her, angels surround her every day.
No matter the circumstance that you may be facing, you can have peace and receive strength through Jesus today.
I pray for strength today God. Help me to stand firm in what I believe for myself, my family and those close to me. Let Your peace that passes what I can understand flow over my life today and cover me.
