“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3 How great is God’s love? We read the stories of the children of Israel, how God delivered them so many times and when…
“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.” Galatians 5:24 We just wrapped up another Easter weekend, and what a weekend it was. We had a jam-packed schedule as I’m sure many of you did,…
The Bible declares in Romans 3:23, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Nobody is exempt from the fatal effects of sin. It not only separates us from a relationship with God but it keeps us from restoring that relationship on our own. Sin will keep…
“And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,” Deuteronomy 10:12 In Deuteronomy, Moses…
“The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.” Psalm 145:9, NIV We have had a lot of snow and cold weather this winter, and it seems like we have been spending a lot of time inside. So naturally, at this point we are thinking…
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (Matthew 22:37, ESV) We hear this scripture quoted all the time. Do we actually know what it means to love Him with all our heart,…
“Let brotherly love continue.” (Hebrews 13:1 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
I recently saw a church sign that read, “Attitudes are contagious!” How true. I would go one step further and say, “Attitudes are highly contagious!”
Observe those around you wherever you go today. We affect each other in ways we are not even aware of. A smile will cause the next person to smile. Grumbling about the produce will cause others to join in and only make matters worse.
I often told my children that their attitudes were showing. Believe you me it’s worse than having your slip hanging below your skirt! Watch the way one child reacts when another child takes his toy. The fight is on; pulling and screaming ensues.
Prayer: Jesus, help me to be quick to pass on love and peace that comes from You. Thank You for the love that exist in the church. Don’t let this love ever be interrupted but let it continue. In the midst of chaos let me breathe Your name. Amen!

“For God so loved the world. that he gave his only begotten son. that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
Love is a gift. You can’t buy it,
You can’t find it,
Someone has to give it to you.
Learn to be receptive of that gift.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (Matthew 22:37, KJV) We sing songs about surrendering all to Him but do we truly know what that means? To commit ourselves to Him to…
